Solar advice from someone who’s actually worked on the systems.
I’m Jordan Bell-Henshaw, the person behind JBH Solar UK.
I’ve spent more than 12 years working within the solar PV and battery storage industry, both in the UK and Scandinavia.
My background started on the practical side -installing, commissioning and fault-finding solar and battery systems. Before moving into technical support, system design, business development and installer training, including training more than 60 solar installers.
That experience means when I recommend a system, I’m not only looking at what works on a design screen.
I’m thinking about how it will actually be installed, how the equipment works together and how the system should perform once it’s on your home.
WHY I CREATED JBH
I wanted to do solar differently.
One of the biggest problems with buying solar is that homeowners are often expected to make a decision worth thousands of pounds without really understanding what they’re being offered.
One company recommends 10 panels. Another recommends 16. One says you need a 5kWh battery. Another tells you 15kWh. Different inverters. Different predicted savings. Different warranties.
And somehow, every salesperson seems convinced their package is the perfect one.
JBH was created to give homeowners somewhere to get clear, technically informed advice before making that decision.
I don’t believe solar should begin with:
“How many panels can we fit?”
It should begin with:
“What are you actually trying to achieve?”
