I understand that plans change and aim to deal with cancellations fairly.
Where you book a paid JBH service online, by telephone or otherwise at a distance, you may have the legal right to cancel the contract within 14 days of entering into it without giving a reason.
If you cancel during the applicable statutory cancellation period before any service has begun, payments made for that service will be refunded in accordance with your legal rights.
If you ask JBH to begin providing the service during your 14-day cancellation period, you may be asked to expressly confirm that you want the service to begin early.
If you subsequently cancel after work has begun at your request, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for the work already carried out.
Where a service has been fully performed within the cancellation period following your express request and acknowledgement that the cancellation right will be lost once the service is fully performed, the statutory cancellation right may end.
Where a £50 deposit is required, it is credited against the final cost of the booked service.
The deposit does not override your statutory cancellation rights.
If you need to move an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.
My recommended JBH policy: appointments changed more than 48 hours before the scheduled time may normally be moved once without an additional booking charge, subject to availability.
Where less than 48 hours' notice is provided after the statutory cancellation period has expired, JBH reserves the right to retain reasonable costs already incurred, including the booking deposit where appropriate.
If JBH needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you will be offered an alternative date.
If a suitable alternative cannot be agreed for a paid service, any payment relating to work not provided will be refunded.
Where non-refundable travel or accommodation has been specifically agreed for a long-distance appointment, any treatment of those costs following cancellation will be explained and agreed in advance, subject always to your statutory consumer rights.
