These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Jordan Bell-Henshaw trading as JBH Solar UK ("JBH").
By booking or purchasing a JBH service, you agree to these terms.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
JBH Solar UK provides services including solar PV and battery storage consultancy, system design, quote and design reviews, pre-installation surveys, post-installation inspections, bespoke inverter and battery housing consultancy, project support and associated renewable-energy services.
The exact scope of work will depend on the service booked and any separate proposal, quotation or written agreement.
Free consultations are intended to help understand your property, energy requirements, objectives and potential options.
Advice provided during an initial consultation is preliminary and may change when further information, surveys, technical assessments, DNO requirements or other information becomes available.
A free consultation does not guarantee that a particular system, product or installation will ultimately be suitable.
Where JBH prepares a solar PV or battery proposal, this may include a 3D representation of the property, proposed panel layout, system specification, equipment recommendations, generation estimates, financial projections and product information.
Designs are based on information available at the time and may need to be amended following a physical survey, structural assessment, electrical assessment, DNO response or discovery of site conditions that could not reasonably have been identified beforehand.
3D property models and visual representations are provided primarily to support system design and are not architectural surveys.
Solar generation, electricity savings, export income, battery utilisation, payback and other financial projections are estimates rather than guarantees.
Actual results may be affected by weather, shading, household electricity consumption, tariffs, equipment performance, system operation, export arrangements, degradation and other factors outside JBH's control.
Where MCS-aligned calculations are provided, the relevant methodology and assumptions applicable to the proposal will be used.
Quote reviews are based on the documents and information supplied by the customer.
JBH will provide an independent technical opinion based on the information available but cannot verify information that would require physical inspection, invasive investigation or specialist testing unless separately agreed.
A quote review should therefore not be treated as a substitute for a property survey where one is required.
Pre-installation surveys may include roof and loft observations where safely accessible, measurements, orientation and shading considerations, potential system layout, equipment locations, cable routes, electrical supply observations, photographs and other relevant considerations.
Surveys are generally visual and non-destructive.
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, a JBH pre-installation survey is not a structural engineer's report, asbestos survey, electrical installation condition report or guarantee of the hidden condition of the building.
Areas that cannot reasonably or safely be accessed may not be inspected.
Post-installation inspections provide an independent technical assessment of the visible installation and available documentation.
The inspection may consider workmanship, equipment positioning, cable routes, roof installation observations, system design, equipment compatibility and performance concerns.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, an inspection is not an electrical certification, MCS certification, structural certification or guarantee that every concealed part of the installation complies with every applicable requirement.
Where further electrical testing, structural assessment, opening-up or specialist investigation is considered appropriate, this may be recommended separately.
Bespoke containment or housing recommendations are developed around factors such as the equipment, location, manufacturer requirements, clearances, weather exposure, ventilation, access and proposed construction materials.
A consultation does not itself constitute approval by the equipment manufacturer or any other regulatory body.
Final dimensions, specification and price may change where site conditions or equipment requirements differ from the information originally supplied.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information that may reasonably affect the service, including property details, electricity consumption information, existing system information and any known issues affecting the property.
The customer must provide reasonable and safe access to areas required for an agreed survey or inspection.
JBH is not responsible for conclusions affected by inaccurate, incomplete or withheld information.
Prices shown on the website are based on the service and travel zone selected.
For surveys and inspections, travel zones are calculated from Rothwell, Northamptonshire to the property being visited.
County names are provided only as a guide because individual counties may fall across different travel zones.
If an incorrect zone is selected, JBH will confirm any necessary price adjustment before attending.
For locations over the published long-distance threshold, additional travel or accommodation costs may apply. These will be agreed before the appointment.
Where a £50 booking deposit is required, the deposit secures the appointment and is deducted from the final service price.
Unless otherwise agreed, the outstanding balance for an on-site survey or inspection is payable on the day of the appointment.
Your statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
Where advertised, £100 of the qualifying JBH survey/report fee may be credited against a subsequent installation project arranged through JBH.
The credit has no cash value, cannot be transferred to another person and applies only where the relevant installation proceeds.
Bookings made online or remotely may carry statutory cancellation rights.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, reports, system designs, drawings, calculations, written material and other work produced by JBH remain JBH intellectual property.
Customers are granted permission to use documents supplied to them for their own property and project, including obtaining quotations from installers where this forms part of the purpose of the service.
JBH material must not be resold, commercially reproduced or presented as another person's work without permission.
JBH will provide services with reasonable care and skill.
No provision in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
JBH will not be responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer, matters outside the agreed scope of work or circumstances that could not reasonably have been identified through the service purchased.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights that may apply according to where you live.
